The Rutland TT is a legendary 90 ish mile circular ride that loops around the picturesque shores of Rutland Water. Now, before anyone gets carried away, this isn’t the Isle of Man TT. Nobody’s setting lap records here unless you count how quickly you can demolish a pork pie at the halfway stop.

Think of it less as a Tourist Trophy and more as a Tourist Tootle. A gloriously scenic ride through England’s smallest county where the roads gently twist and turn through countryside so charming it looks like it was designed by the National Trust.

The beauty of the Rutland TT is its simplicity. It’s a big loop, which means you can ride it clockwise or anti clockwise, depending entirely on your preference for left handers or right handers or whichever direction your mates argue about the least in the car park before setting off.

Along the way you’ll pass rolling countryside, pretty villages, and of course the vast expanse of Rutland Water itself. It’s the kind of ride that encourages a steady throttle, plenty of helmet nods to passing riders, and the occasional pause to admire the view… or check Google Maps because someone definitely missed a turning back there.

By the time you complete the loop whether as a lone road warrior or part of a cheerful gang of like minded petrol heads you’ll have earned not just a cracking ride under your belt, but quite possibly the most important prize of all: a well deserved Rutland pork pie and a cuppa.

And honestly, that’s a trophy worth riding for.

Ride safe, enjoy every mile, and remember, the best roads are the ones that make you turn around and ride them again.
