To commemorate (or should that be celebrate?) Bonzo’s moving from the Midlands down to Wales we decided to have a little ride out into Wales and have a wander around the historic landscapes and thriving wildlife that makes up Elan Valley.
We all left the Midlands and headed on down to the lovely picturesque town of Malvern to meet up with Ray and his stealth designed Fireblade as which we headed off to towards Bromyard and Leominster along the excellent A44.
After circumnavigating Leominster we headed to Crossgates, again on the A44 where we stopped at Crossgates Cafe for a much needed breakfast and fuel (for Ray)
Following on from our food stop we then made the quick journey through Rhayader and into Elan Valley.
You may have noticed that we seem to visit Elan Valley quite often, and there’s a simple explanation for that, it’s a stunning place! The scenery is stupendous, the cake at the visitors centre is great and if your into walking or pushbikes it’s heavenly!
After a wander around all 6 dams and lakes we finished off at the visitor centre for a well deserved coffee and cake before heading home.
