Meet Morticia, My BMW R1250GS TE Triple Black
Some milestones in riding deserve more than a quick social media update. They deserve a moment to sit back, reflect, and look ahead at the open road. If you’ve been following my recent motorcycling updates, you’ll know that a few chapters have closed lately, making room for a massive new one.
The secret is finally out. Say hello to Morticia, my BMW R1250GS TE Triple Black.
A New Chapter on Two Wheels
Every bike has its own personality, and when it came to naming this absolute powerhouse, “Morticia” just fit perfectly. With her sleek, dark, and menacing Triple Black finish, she looks incredibly sharp and ready for business.
Stepping up to the R1250GS from Gina, my R1200GS Rallye feels like a natural progression, but rolling on the throttle for the first time is a whole new experience. The shift-cam boxer engine delivers effortless power, and the level of refinement on the TE spec is next-level. Whether it’s the premium finish, the gold spoke wheels contrast against the dark bodywork, or just the sheer presence of the machine, she is a stunner from every angle.
The Maiden Voyage

To celebrate her arrival, I took her out for a proper late afternoon ride around my local back roads to get a real feel for the chassis and dynamics. Catching the golden hour light hitting the tank, looking out over the water at Blithfield Reservoir, and listening to that distinct boxer rumble, it was one of those rides that reminds you exactly why you fall in love with motorcycling all over again.
The handling is incredibly planted thanks for BMW’s front telelever suspension, the ergonomics are spot-on, and the tech layout makes managing the ride seamless. She’s built for big miles, and that’s exactly what we intend to do.
Peak District Adventures

Yesterday’s ride was something else! I took Morticia, my BMW R1250GS out for a spin through the stunning Peak District, and it didn’t disappoint.
The bike felt incredible on the winding roads, and the views were simply breathtaking. I stopped at this well known spot just outside of Ashbourne for a coffee and to take in the atmosphere.
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of exploring on two wheels. Feeling so grateful for days like this!
