The B4077 from Stow on the Wold to Toddington is a classic slice of Cotswolds riding. Honey-coloured stone villages, dry stone walls, and a road that rises and falls gently over the hills between them.

It’s not a road that demands aggressive riding, and it doesn’t need to be. The bends are flowing rather than tight, and the scenery is good enough to make you want to ease off and take it all in anyway.

Why it’s worth a ride

This is the kind of route that reminds you why the Cotswolds are so popular with riders in the first place. Easy to link with other B-roads in the area for a longer loop, and just as good on a lazy Sunday as it is on a proper day out.
