We started the day at the excellent Fromes Hill Cafe where we met up with Bonzo and Ray who had travelled up from near Cardiff for our usual ride our morning ritual of coffee, bacon, egg, sausage, beans with a sprinkling of mickey taking.
After fuelling up for the cold day ahead we decided to to ride south along the B4214 and once we were past Ledbury we found ourselves skirting past the magnificent Malvern hills we ended up at Gloucester Docks for another coffee and wander around.
Once suitably refreshed and warmed up we then headed down the A48 and into the Forest of Dean and explored the roads around Cinderford and eventually ended up at the Dean Forest Railway, unfortunately it was closed so we had a wander around the tracks and carriages before mounting up again for another great ride around the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley finally finishing up in Ross-on-Wye for an end of the day coffee to warm us all up before heading our separate ways home.
