Hidden away in one of Banbury's industrial estates is a gem of a place, it's not your usual greasy joe's cafe that you would expect to find but one that's very clean, well decorated (love the london theme) and serves great food by very polite and friendly staff.
Shobdon airfield was opened in 1940 as a response to the needs of the war office to fight off the invasion plans. The airfield was originally called Pembridge Landing Ground and one of the first aircraft to be based there was the trusty Westland Lysander and it is this iconic Army support aircraft that the cafe’s list topping breakfast option is named after.
