The Brecon Beacons National Park has some of the finest views in all of Wales as well as some of the best roads a biker could dream of including the A4069 Brynamman to Llangadog but today we were going underground!
We had decided to head down to the National Showcaves Centre for Wales for a gander but while in the area we had to take in some of the amazing roads, I can’t honestly remember the route we took but to be honest if you head for the Brecon Beacons you won’t be disappointed.
Finding the National Showcaves is really easy as it’s very well signposted and just off the A4067, after paying our entrance fee we climbed up the steep paths to explore the 3 main caves, Dan-yr-Ogof, Cathedral Cave and the Bone Cave, don’t worry I won’t bore you with descriptions of what the caves had or looked like, there are much better websites reviewing the caves than I ever could so I’ll leave that to Mr Google but what I can say is that we had a great afternoon exploring the caves, looking at the dinosaurs, both the plastic ones and Bob as well as having a cuppa and a sandwich in the cafe (you knew that a mention of food had to be on the cards right?)
