The B3212 starts just to the west of Exeter, passing under the A30 and on past Moretonhampstead before, after 30 miles, it reaches its end at Yelverton. It’s a proper cross-Devon route, taking you right through the heart of Dartmoor National Park along the way.
Open moorland, tight hedgerows, and everything in between, this road changes character more than once over its length, which is part of what makes it such a good one to ride.
Why it’s worth a ride
Thirty miles is a good stretch to get your teeth into, long enough to properly settle in, but varied enough that it never gets dull. With Dartmoor’s scenery on full display for a lot of it, this is one to take your time over rather than rush through.
