If you’re ever travelling along the M4 in Wales and fancy a cuppa, a sandwich or even (our favorite) a Full English breakfast, consider coming off at junction 37 and heading the 1 mile north into Pyle and you will find one of the hidden gems in the area, Village Farm Cafe.
Located in a small industrial estate, Village Farm Cafe is a place whose main customers are the locals who work in and around the industrial esate as well as other people who know the secret of where this cafe is, don’t get me wrong it’s not difficult to find, there’s plenty of parking and the place is always nice and busy (always a good sign)
The decor is your typical British cafe with loads of tables with 4 chairs (I love cafes that have these separate wooden chairs and hates ones that use benches) plastic tablecloths and condiments on each table, it even has a few tables outside for when the rain in Wales is warm enough to venture out.
The kitchen is located in the corner of the main dining room (again, I like places where you can see your food being cooked) and this is where you also order and pay for your food. Another nice feature is the wireless network key is displayed so you know they have wi-fi and you don’t have to ask for the access details.
The food is well cooked, tasty and very cheap and the staff are friendly, talkative and obviously enjoy working here.
In a nutshell, Village Farm Cafe is definitely a place we will revisit.
