Portmeirion

On a glorious July day we decided to head into North Wales to enjoy the spectacular roads and scenery that Wales offer so after stopping at our usual Welsh breakfast stop at Dinkys Dinah we headed up the A5 and then onto the B4396/B4391 into Bala where we stopped to admire the lake before heading along the A4212/A470 until we arrived at Portmeirion.

Portmeirion

Portmeirion is a very famous village in North Wales built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 and is styled to look like an Italian village and on a warm July day it did feel that way! The village is most famous as the location of the 1960s television show The Prisoner so Windsor and Bob felt right at home!
